Story

Miri Marshall

Weekend Anchor/Weathercaster/News Reporter

It's great to be here in the Sun City. And it's even better to do my dream job. I am excited to bring news and weather that matters to you. Since I'm coming into your home via TV, it's only fair that you know who you're inviting in.

So, here's my rundown. I was born and raised in New Orleans, La., home of the best Creole food in the world! Like manner, I graduated from Louisiana State University (Geaux Tigers!). I got my first crack in television at WAFB in Baton Rouge as a production assistant. Next stop was New Orleans, where I worked as an entertainment anchor at Knightscope Entertainment and as an associate producer with WGNO (ABC 26). From there I set my eyes on the west. I packed my clothes, sold my furniture and moved to Los Angeles -- without a job! Eventually, I found plenty of freelance work to keep me very busy. I worked as a news reporter for Torrance CitiCABLE 3 and HCTV Ch. 22 in Hawthorne. I also worked various jobs for ABC Network News, including desk assistant, assignment editor, writer and producer. I even managed to hold onto my entertainment roots as a correspondent for the lifestyle show "Your LA."

OK, now that you've got my curriculum vitae in a nutshell, who, is the real Miri Marshall? The real Miri Marshall is a fun, outgoing shopaholic. My other vice is anything sweet. l love baking cakes and cookies from scratch. Any other time, I enjoy reading novels and business books, wine tasting, traveling, writing poetry and relaxing at the spa.
