Skirmishes Break Out After Kenyatta Declared Winner

Locals could be seen fleeing the Kenyan city of Kisumu, where violence broke out in response to the election. Kenya's third largest city is also home to presidential hopeful Raila Odinga, who was defeated by Uhuru Kenyatta earlier in the day. Police in riot gear fanned out across Kisumu, putting out fires and removing roadblocks. Kenyans here are angry that Odinga lost by a slim margin, 43 percent to Kenyatta's 50.07 percent.
