Pope Calls For Humbler Church

A warm welcome for the newly-voted leader of the Catholic Church and its 1.2 billion followers. Pope Francis addressed the media on Saturday for the first time since he was chosen as pontiff. He told them his mission would be to lead a church that serves the poor as St Francis of Assisi did. It was his clearest indication yet that he wants a more austere institution. Since his election on Wednesday, the Pope has avoided many luxurious trappings that come with his office.
