New Zealand Remembers 2011 Quake Victims
Two years after the devastating earthquake on February 22 , 2011, the city of Christchurch in New Zealand marked the event with a memorial for the 185 people killed. At a ceremony on Friday (February 22) in a park that became a makeshift triage centre two years ago, the Prime Minister of New Zealand, John Key, addressed survivors, and the friends and relatives of the victims.
