Baghdad bombings kill at least 26

The aftermath of one of several car bombings that rocked Baghdad Sunday morning. The explosions, targeting five mostly Shi'ite nieghbourhoods, left at least 26 people dead. Dozens of other people were wounded in the blasts. Bombings in Iraq have surged since the beginning of the year, with Sunni Islamist insurgents targeting Shi'ites and security forces. No-one had claimed responsibility for Sunday's attacks.
