LAPD Opens Fire On Armed Gunman
An investigation is underway after police shot and wounded an armed man in Echo Park early Tuesday morning.
It happened around 12:20 a.m. in the 1500 block of Sunset Boulevard, near Echo Park Avenue.
LAPD officers were responding to several calls about shots fired in the area.
When they arrived at the scene, the suspect opened fire on the officers, police said, and that’s when the officers returned fire.
