Clashes Follow Friday Prayers in East Jerusalem

Violence broke out in the West Bank and Jerusalem on Friday after Israeli police placed restrictions on Palestinians seeking to enter the al-Aqsa mosque for Friday prayers. With rumors of a 'day of rage' being called for young Palestinian men to take to the streets in Jerusalem to protect the al-Aqsa mosque in the old city, Israeli security forces imposed a strict age limit on those who would be allowed inside to pray.
