Fort Bliss troops head to Africa to aid in Ebola outbreak 

Nearly 500 service members from Fort Bliss will be deploying to Africa as part of the U.S. effort to stop the spread of the deadly Ebola virus.

Lower Valley Health Fair this weekend

EL PASO, Texas - The largest and longest running health fair in our region is taking place Saturday, April 12, in the lower valley. The Lower Valley Health Fair will be taking place at Socorro High School at 10150 Alameda Ave. from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m.

The event will provide free informational services and screenings to more than 4,000 individuals. The city of El Paso Department of Public Health will provide HIV and Hepatitis C testing. Other agencies will offer services that include: blood sugar, blood pressure, cholesterol, hearing and vision, glaucoma and EKG tests.
