Burglar posts ad for stolen computer on FacebookBy: Jamel ValenciaLAS CRUCES, N.M. - A 20-year-old Las Cruces woman that goes by "Bina Mija" on Facebook was placed under arrest and is facing charges of residential burglary. "Bina Mija" also known as Rubina Altamirano broke into two homes, one on Ethel Avenue and the other on Foothills Road, and stole items;, including an iMac computer, said Las Cruces police investigators. Altamirano advertised the stolen items in a Facebook group, which later were sold. The buyer of the iMac called the owner of the computer when they found pictures and contact information stored on the electronic device, according to police. Detectives discovered "Bina Mija" was Altamirano and identified her as the person who sold the stolen computer. Police believe Altamirano did not act alone when breaking into the homes. They said they are looking for another woman contacted to the burglaries. Altamirano was arrested Saturday and booked into the Dona Ana County Detention Center with bond set at $15,000.
