By: Jesse Martinez
EL PASO, Texas The University of Texas at El Paso womens basketball team is headed to the semifinals for the Womans National Invitational Tournament, and Papa Johns Pizza wants to make sure they play in front of a sold-out crowd.

Michelle Bustillos Skar, marketing director for Papa Johns Pizza, says the restaurant will hand out free slices of pizza if the Miners game is sold out.

The slices will be given away Thursday from 2-5 p.m. at any El Paso Papa Johns Pizza location.

Customers will also get half-off any regularly-priced menu item with their ticket stub.

On Monday, the Miners played in front of a record-setting crowd of 10,227 at the Don Haskins Center, which has a seating capacity of 12,222.

As of 3 p.m. Tuesday, UTEP officials said there were 4,000 tickets left for Wednesdays game.

Tickets for Wednesday's game against South Dakota State are $5 for students, $10 general admission and $15 floor seats.
