EL PASO, Texas -- For the second time in a week, an abandoned home caught fire in the Lower Valley.

The latest fire happened just before 12:30 a.m. Wednesday, at the 9100 block of Sandoval and Candelaria. Neighbors called 911, reporting the house was fully engulfed.

Firefighters were quickly on the scene, and were able to put out the flames within ten minutes of their arrival. An hour later, crews were still putting out hotspots.

But this home neighbors another home that caught fire last Wednesday. In that fire, neighbors also called reporting the home to be fully engulfed. The fire was dispatched at 12:18 p.m. No one was inside of the two story property. A spokesman for the El Paso Fire Dept. told KFOX14 the home was under condemnation consideration.

After the fire was put out, that home was considered a total loss.

Crews have not said what caused the fires from either incidents, or if they're in any way related.

In both cases, no injuries were reported.
