Argument about infidelity leads to woman stabbing, imprisoning boyfriend, police say

By: Jesse Martinez
LAS CRUCES, N.M. Police said a 44-year-old woman held her boyfriend against his will after stabbing him on Saturday.

Police were initially called to the couples apartment Saturday after Roze Henderson and her 38-year-old boyfriend were fighting over infidelity accusations.

Police left the scene when they determined that no criminal activity happened.

After police left, police said the couple continued to argue to the point that Henderson allegedly stabbed her boyfriends wrist and left leg with a knife.

The victim didnt report the stabbing, and police later learned that the two went to sleep following the incident, officials said.

The next day, the man woke up to being stuck by Henderson on the head with an unknown object, officials said.

When he tried to leave, he saw there was a large chair blocking the door, and Henderson tried to keep him from leaving, police said.

Police were again called to the apartment for the disturbance, and when they arrived, they found the victim as he was trying to leave the apartment.

Henderson was charged with one count of aggravated battery with a deadly weapon and one count of false imprisonment. She was booked into the county jail with bail set at $10,000.

Police said the victims injuries were not life-threatening.
