Police: Man shot several times shows up at hospital emergency roomBy: Ruben Veloz, Elena ArteagaEL PASO, Texas -- A 20-year-old man and a 15-year-old boy were hospitalized Sunday night after a shooting stemming from an illegal drug transaction, police said.El Paso police were notified at around 11:30 p.m. Sunday night, when a 20-year-old victim arrived at Providence Memorial Hospital with multiple gunshot wounds. KFOX14 was told multiple witnesses called 911 after hearing gunshots rang out in the area of Rushing Road and Trojan Drive in Northeast El Paso. Investigators believe the shooting happened on the parking lot of the Arrowhead Place Apartment complex. Officers were seen by KFOX14 combing the area for clues related to the shooting. It was unknown what evidence, if any, was found. A witness told KFOX14 she heard at least five to six gunshots before she called police.All of a sudden, when I was having a cigarette, I just heard the gunshots, said northeast El Paso resident Marian Ali.Ali said she was outside on her home's patio when the shooting happened. I was just in shock. I was just thinking about my son who was upstairs, said Ali. Ali said she saw a white SUV leave the apartment complex right after the shooting, however, El Paso police have not been able to confirm if that vehicle was involved in the shooting. It hit the corner of Rushing and Salem, and headed east down Salem, said Ali. It didnt stop at the stop sign. It just zoomed around the corner. The 20-year-old's condition is currently unknown.Hours later, just before 4 a.m. Monday, the mother of an unidentified 15-year-old boy called 911 to report her son had been injured in that shooting, police said.Police responded to the 200 block of Edgar Road in the Upper Valley. They said the teen, who appears to have been the passenger, was hit by bullet fragments. A car possibly involved in the shooting may have also been found. Police said the teen was taken by his mom to Providence for treatment.
