Police: Man hit by train in northeast El Paso breaks leg

EL PASO, Texas A man suffered a broken leg after getting hit by a train in northeast El Paso, police said.

Around 7:30 p.m. Monday the incident was reported off of U.S. 54 near the Cassidy Gate at Fort Bliss.

Police at the scene said the victim was a young man and he was not hit head-on by the train.

He was taken to the hospital, but he is expected to be OK, police said.
