By: Jesse Martinez
LAS CRUCES, N.M. -- A 67-year-old motorcyclist was taken to an El Paso hospital Thursday afternoon after he was hit by a pickup truck, police said.

The accident happened around 1 p.m. Thursday when the man was driving his 2004 Harley Davidson north on Campo Street, police said.

At the same time, a pickup truck was traveling east on Hadley Avenue and collided with the motorcycle.

Police said the victim was not wearing a helmet and was treated at the scene before being airlifted to University Medical Center in El Paso.

His injuries are believed to be non-life-threatening.

The driver of the pickup truck, a 72-year-old man, was cited for failing to yield after a stop.
