Stabbing at eastside bar sends two people to the hospital

EL PASO, Texas -

An El Paso man was ordered a cab home from an eastside bar early Saturday morning because he reportedly looked too drunk.

But instead stabbed two people after becoming irate and ended up in jail, according to police.

The El Paso Police Department said Juan Ulloa, 43, was waiting for a cab that a Rock House Bar

employee ordered for him when customer Steven Martinez saw employee Andrea Schweitz in a confrontation with Ulloa outside the bar.

Martinez reportedly walked over to Ulloa and Schweitz to calm the situation; Ulloa swung and stabbed Martinez in the chest with a knife.

Another employee, Alyssa Estrada, saw what was going on and attempted to stop the altercation.

Police said Ulloa punched Estrada in the face.

Schweitz got involved in the fight and was cut on her left arm by the knife that Ulloa was reportedly holding.

Ulloa was arrested at the scene and has been booked into the El Paso County Detention Facility on two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon and one count of misdemeanor assault.

His bonds totaled $11,500.
