By Crystal Price
EL PASO, Texas -- El Paso police released the names of the two teens who were stabbed at a party in far east El Paso over the weekend.

Authorities said 19-year-old Julian Galvan and 16-year-old Adriana Villegas were stabbed at a party on Tierra Cobre Drive about 2:30 a.m. on Sunday.

Galvan died from his injuries on Sunday at a local hospital.

Police said Villegas remains in critical condition at a local hospital.

The man who hosted the party did not want to show his face on camera.

However, he said it was at his home where a calm party got out of hand.

"We were having a party for my friend, who had graduated from Southwest University and his birthday was coming up," the host said.

But he said things started escalating when a group of people, they didn't know, showed up and tried to start mischief.

"We were starting to kick people out, but they didn't want to leave, that's when I started seeing my brother get in a fight with them," the host said. "The guy who passed away got stabbed out here, and then after that cops started pulling up."

The host of the party said 16-year-old Adrian Villegas was trying to break up the fight, when she too was stabbed with a broken a beer bottle.

"The next thing I know, I see one of my friends Adrian, and she's bleeding because she got stabbed," the host said.

Socorro ISD confirms Galvan is a former student of Americas High School.

School administrators confirmed Villegas currently attends school there and that she is in the 10th grade.

Classmates describe Villegas as a kindhearted person, who would do anything for you.

"I mean she's a really good person," said Bianca Alvarez, a classmate of Villegas. "I mean like a lot of people care about her, and it's really sad that someone would do this."

The host of the party said he is sorry the party escalated to what it did.

"It's unfortunate that it had to happen like that but my condolences and my apologies go out to his family," the host said.

No arrests have been made and the case remains under investigation.
