By: Jamel Valencia
LAS CRUCES, N.M. - A Las Cruces man pleaded guilty Friday to threatening President Barack Obama under a plea agreement.

Tracy York White of Las Cruces is accused of verbally threatening the president during a telephone conversation with an employee of the Social Security Administration in Cleveland, Ohio.

Secret Service and Las Cruces Police Department officials said while on the phone with the agent, he was going to get a gun go to the White House and kill him.

White stated in the plea agreement that he made the threat in frustration and knew what he was doing was wrong.

His sentencing date has not been scheduled.

He faces a maximum penalty of five years in prison.
