EL PASO, Texas -- A man is in custody after police said he stabbed his brother in the neck after an argument late Monday night.

El Paso police responded to the Valero gas station at 11:48 P.M. Monday on the 10600 block of Gateway North Blvd. and Kenworthy Street.

Police told KFOX14 that two brothers, Jesse LaFleur and David LaFleur were arguing at their home on the 6100 block of Sun Valley Dr., when the stabbing occurred.

Police said Jesse, LaFleur, 52, stabbed his brother in the neck.

Investigators said the victim then called family for help, instead of calling 911.

Family members then picked up the unidentified victim from the home, and took him three miles away to the Valero gas station, where they then called for help.

The victim was rushed to University Medical Center with what's being described as a wound to the neck that required several stitches.

Police arrested Jesse LaFleur and he was charged with aggravated assault with a deadly weapon family violence. He was also found to be in possession of marijuana, and he was additionally charged with possession of marijuana less than two ounces.

He was booked into the county jail with bail totaling $10,300.
