Family finds fetus at east El Paso park

EL PASO, Texas A KFOX14 viewer found a fetus in an east El Paso park while he and his family were walking their dog.

Cesar Israel, posted on KFOX14s Facebook page that he and his family were alerted to the fetus by their dog.

Yesterday, myself and my family along with my pit bull found a dead baby at the park. My dog found the baby and brought it upon our feet. We realized it was a baby, so we called the cops. How could people leave a human like this? Israel said in a post.

Israel said they discovered the fetus around 7:30 p.m. Thursday at Travis White Park a few blocks away from Eastwood Heights Elementary School in east El Paso.

Mike Baranyay, a spokesperson for the police department, said police were called to the scene around 8:55 p.m., and police are calling this incident an unattended death pending an autopsy report.

The police departments Crimes Against Persons unit is investigation the case.
