Lower Valley woman claims image of Our Lady of Guadalupe appeared in her fence

EL PASO, Texas

A Lower Valley woman came to KFOX 14 saying an image of the Virgin of Guadalupe appeared on a fence near her home.

Many of the faithful came out Thursday night to pray the rosary and pay their respects to the image.

"It was last weekend. We were out here just shooting the breeze and my brother-in-law told me there was an apparition, and I turned around and looked and I just felt a rush, a happy rush," said Irma Nava.

Nava says that windscreen has been there for years but that image appeared days ago, out of nowhere.

"It's something so emotional, so very emotional to see something so beautiful," Nava said.

Since then, Nava said she's had many visitors, from family, to neighbors to those in the Catholic community who all agree: the image is that of Our Lady of Guadalupe.

"Sister Rebecca from Good Shepard came by and she was very, very amazed. She said, 'It's her, it's her,'" Nava said.

Nava said it couldn't have come at a better time.

"My mom is very ill and I do need her help. I'm hoping that she does help me a whole lot because I am going through a lot with my mom right now," Nava said.

Thursday, some gathered to pray the rosary at the spot.

"She's here for a purpose and I guess to help us all right now. We all need help right now," Nava said.
