By: Jesse Martinez and Elena Arteaga
EL PASO, Texas -- A West El Paso fire station was broken into while emergency crews were responding to a call.

It happened just before 4:30 a.m. Thursday at Fire Station 22, in the 6500 block of Mesa.

Police investigators said crews returning to the station saw signs of forced entry.

According to the El Paso Times, Justin Cass Sims, 22, was found disoriented by firefighters; he allegedly broke a window and shelf and pulled down some unused wiring while trying to enter the station.

Sims was charged with suspicion of criminal mischief and criminal trespassing. He was booked in the county jail with bail set at $600.
