EL PASO, TexasThe west bound Zaragoza exit ramp will continue to remain closed for two more years as TXDOT begins to construct the braided ramps in the area.
Texas Department of Transportation is reconstructing Interstate 10 and the gateway to look similar to the freeway on US 54.
This project is the widening of I-10, adding one lane in each direction, plus we will be adding ramps one over the other. Thats why they call it braided ramps, said Blanca Del Valle, spokesperson for TXDOT.
The westbound Zaragoza wont open until the project is complete. Construction began in mid December and will be done in two years. Its a project that costs $25 million.
