EL PASO, Texas-- One man was killed and another was sent to the hospital with serious injuries early Monday morning due to a rollover, police said.
According to the police department's special traffic investigators, a 1984 Nissan 300ZX was trying to exit on Global Reach Drive from Spur 601 around midnight when the driver lost control and the car rolled over.
Police said Jesus Medina III, 21, was partially ejected from vehicle, and another passenger, also a 21-year-old male, was completely ejected.
Both were taken to University Medical Center for treatment, and Medina later died from his injuries, police said.
Police believe speed, alcohol and lack of seat belts were factors in the crash.
The eastbound lanes on the exit ramp for Global Reach on Spur 601 were closed as police investigated the accident, and reopened about 8 a.m.
