Deputies: Man used construction company to scam customers

EL PASO COUNTY, Texas A Socorro man faces criminal charges after he allegedly used his construction company as a way to scam customers.

According to the El Paso County Sheriff's Office, Joseph Arroyos would accept money up front from customers for his business, Joe's Construction. 

Arroyos, 39, would start but never finish a job or would take the money and never show up, deputies said.

Deputies located Arroyos at the 1100 block of Chris Forbes Street in Socorro.

Arroyos was charged with theft of service greater than $20 and less than $500, theft of property greater than $500 and less than $1,500, three counts of deceptive trade practice, one count of theft of property more than $1,500 and less than $20,000 as well as parole violation.

Anyone who may have been victimized by Joe's Construction is asked to call the sheriff's office at 915-546-2280.
