Police book 3 drivers overnight on DWI charges

EL PASO - Three men were arrested on suspicion of driving while intoxicated in separate incidents that happened overnight Wednesday.
The first happened at around 12:49 a.m.on the 1600 block of North Kansas. Police said 26-year-old Miles Jacques was behind the wheel of gray 1998 Honda Prelude. Jacques allegedly lost control of the vehicle when he made a turn onto N. Kansas from Schuster Street. Jacques crashed his vehicle with a parked car. According to police investigators, Jacques was intoxicated and placed under arrest for the alleged offense. His bond was set at $1,000.
Around 2:10 a.m. along Interstate 10, a police officer spotted Alejandro EstradaArias of Juarez, Mexico, allegedly speeding. Police said Estrada-Arias was driving a 2005 Jeep Cherokee westbound at 80 mph in a 60 mph zone. The police officer pulled him over and discovered that the 28-year-old was intoxicated. He was taken to the El Paso County Detention Center on a $750 bond.
Minutes later at about 2:22 a.m. police said they responded to a crash on the 2500 block of Joe Battle near Montana Ave. Rosendo Rivero according to police was driving a 1998 Ford Mustang when he collided with a raised median. The 42-year-old was found under the influence and placed under arrest. He faces a driving while intoxicated charge.
