Police believe speed caused crash killing El Paso man

LAS CRUCES, N.M. - An El Paso man died in a crash outside Las Cruces on Tuesday night, and state police officials believe speed was a factor.

James Mann, 25, was driving southbound on Interstate 25 when the vehicle he was driving entered the median, according to New Mexico State Police officials.

The vehicle rolled into the northbound lanes, causing Mann to be ejected from the vehicle, said authorities. Mann died at the scene, near the Radium Springs exit.

Speed is believed to be a factor in the single-vehicle crash.

Mann was not wearing his seat belt.
