Police: Man slashes people with box cutter at Tricky Falls' event

By: Jamel Valencia
EL PASO, Texas - An El Paso man got violent at a death metal concert with other concert goers Tuesday night, police said.

Police were called out to Tricky Falls in downtown around 10 p.m. in response to an attack against three people by a man armed with a deadly weapon, police officials said.
Jesus Ortega, 30, attacked three men with a box cutter, police said. Police said Ortega left them with cuts to their heads, neck and chest.

Police investigators said Ortega was involved in a scuffle at the concert before he pulled out his weapon. Ortega was stopped by staff and detained until police officers arrived, said police officials.

He was placed under arrest on two counts of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Police say the victims, ages 39, 24 and 35, are expected to be OK.
Ortega's bond was set at $150,686.

Police said they are continuing to investigate the incident and expect to issue more charges.
