TEA letters sent to EPISD employees
By: Sarai Bejarano
EL PASO, Texas- Several El Paso Independent School District employees received letters from the Texas Education Agency this Friday. The letters were allegedly sent out due to documents obtained from an independent audit report that discloses cheating within the district, according to the El Paso Times.
The TEA was granted the power to handout subpoenas by the state legislation and has used this power to obtain past documents regarding cheating in the district. The TEA is apparently using this method once again to gain access to other documents that have not been made public.
The content of the letters is still unknown and exactly how many people have received the letters is not yet known.
