Central El Paso residents allowed back into homes

EL PASO, Texas - A central El Paso neighborhood near Concordia Cemetery was under evacuation Wednesday afternoon. As of 4:55 p.m. residents were allowed to return to their homes.
Those on Missouri Ave. between Grama and Luna streets were evacuated after a gas leak was reported in the area.
The gas leak happened around 3:19 p.m. when Texas Gas crews were working on a 2-inch line that ruptured in an alley on N. Luna Street and Gateway W Blvd.
More than 15 firefighters were at the scene to help assist those evacuated. Work crews around 4:45 p.m. stopped the leak, said an El Paso Fire Department spokesman.
No injuries were reported.
Police officers were called to the area to help with traffic control on Luna Street and Missouri Ave.
