By: Jesse Martinez
El Paso, Texas Two 7-Eleven convenience stores in the Lower Valley were robbed within a few days' time, and a reward is offered for information on the thief involved.

Police said the first robbery happened before midnight Sept. 19 at the store at 9370 North Loop Dr.

A man threatened the clerk, saying he had a gun, and asked for money. The robber left with an undisclosed amount of money, police said.

A few days later, on Sept. 24, the 7-Eleven convenience store at 8601 North Loop Dr. was robbed at around 10:45 p.m.

The man made a similar threat and left the store with an undisclosed amount of money and three packs of cigarettes.

Police describe the robber as a Hispanic man in his late teens or early 20s that is between 5 feet 6 inches and 5 feet 8 inches tall and weighs between 180 and 200 pounds.

He was seen wearing a long-sleeve gray shirt, gray sweatpants, a black baseball cap with a white logo, white tennis shoes and a dark-colored bandana that was covering the lower half of his face.

Anyone with information on the robberies is asked to call Crime Stoppers of El Paso at 915-566-8477. A reward is available for information that leads to an arrest.
