Brenda Medina
Traffic Anchor/News Reporter
Hello to all! I was born and raised in the beautiful Sun City. I’m a proud graduate of Montwood High School and the University of Texas at El Paso. I received my bachelor’s degree from UTEP in Broadcast Journalism with a minor in Spanish.I’m very fortunate to start my career in my hometown but most importantly in a station among extremely professional and talented individuals. While in college, I was one of a few aspiring journalists selected for an internship in Tampa, Fla. But I first got my foot in the door here at KFOX as an intern. I then worked as an associate producer and weekend assignment editor and quickly moved my way on up as your traffic anchor and reporter.I always knew my passion was being involved in the community and what better way than to inform you about what’s going on in your neighborhood.I’m also a member of the National Association of Hispanic Journalist and a mentor with Big Brothers Big Sisters. My mother Rosalinda Medina is my role model and the hardest working woman I know. I also have two sisters, Cinthia and Linda. When I’m not at work, you can find me having a good time with my family and friends, working out or just relaxing at home. Now for traffic updates on your morning commute every 10 minutes, be sure to catch up with me on The KFOX Morning News. Also if you have any story ideas you can e-mail them to me.
