KFOX14 News Reporter

I am a proud native El Pasoan. I attended El Paso High School before graduating from Parkland High School. I also received my bachelors’ degree from UTEP in Electronic Media with a minor in Criminal Justice.

I became interested in media in the 6th grade when I became part of the W.C.D.I. program at Wiggs Middle School and was able to give students their daily news updates through television. My dad and grandparents being my biggest supporters encouraged me to make my dreams come true.

While attending UTEP I interned under the KDBC Sports Department and gained an even deeper passion and respect for the business. I worked at KDBC behind the scenes and eventually stepped in front of the camera, doing various news reports. My career has now led me here to KFOX14 where I am excited to be part of a very talented team.

When I’m not working you can find me watching movies, ESPN, or hanging out with family and friends, and of course my cat.If you have a story idea, feel free to contact me at: Martina.Valverde@kfoxtv.com. You can also Follow me on Twitter http://twitter.com/MartinaKFOX14.
