Bill Young is Morning Co-Anchor of the Emmy Nominated KFOX-14 Morning News. He joined the KFOX-14 team in January 2010.
While Bill is new to the Borderland, he is no stranger to Texas. Before working at KFOX-14 Bill was the Morning and Noon Anchor for KWTX-TV in Waco, Texas. Bill’s first job in television was working as a part-time reporter for KOKH-TV in Oklahoma City while still in his senior year at Oklahoma City University. He began his career in journalism by working as a Reporter for the Sewickley Herald Star newspaper near Pittsburgh.
Bill was born in Altoona, Pennsylvania, but raised in the northern suburbs of Pittsburgh.
Bill has a passion for charity work. He has been involved with the Komen Foundation, American Cancer Society, and International Aids Empowerment since arriving in the Borderland. Through the years Bill has earned a great deal of recognition for his charity work. He was “Volunteer of the Year” for the American Cancer Society in 2007. Two years later a flag was flown over the state capitol building in Austin in his honor as a “Thank You” for his volunteerism in Central Texas.

The May 6 tornado that struck a busy business district in Waco (including my former television station). It remains the proudest moment in my television career.
