First scheduled home game for El Paso Triple-A team revealed story image

EL PASO, Texas -- The downtown ballpark will have its first home game in April 2014.

MountainStar Sports Group announced its opening day Monday morning.

On April 11, 2013, El Paso's Triple-A baseball team will play.

The name of the team has not been announced, but according to a MountainStar Sports Group spokeswoman, they will play 72 home games out of a 144-game schedule.

The season will run through Sept. 1, 2014.
