Houston, TX -- (Sports Network) - Jason Lane's pinch-hit grand slam capped a seven-run eighth inning to boost Houston to a 10-3 victory over Milwaukee, keeping the Astros in the thick of the National League wild card race.Willy Taveras was plunked twice by Brewers starter Tomo Ohka, but finished 0-for-3 to have his franchise-record 30-game hitting streak broken. Craig Biggio belted a two-run homer and scored the go-ahead run on Aubrey Huff's single in the seventh for the Astros, who are within three games of San Diego for the wild card lead. Roy Oswalt allowed four hits and three runs through seven innings for the Astros, and after the game received a five-year contract extension worth $73 million with an option for a sixth year. The right-hander, who posted back-to- back 20-win seasons in 2004 and 2005, struck out seven and walked one. Oswalt's extension came on his 29th birthday. His extension includes a full no-trade provision. He'll receive $13 million in both 2007 and '08, $14 million in 2009, $15 million in 2010 and $16 million in 2011. The option year is for $16 million, while there is a $2 million buyout. "There's more bragging about playing for this club than any other club," Oswalt said. "Even the guys that play for the big market clubs. It's like a family." Luke Scott also homered for Houston, which won its fourth straight overall to equal a season-high and snapped a five-game skid at Minute Maid Park. Chad Qualls (5-3) threw the eighth inning to get the win, while Brian Shouse (1-2) was saddled with the loss. Corey Hart had two hits and an RBI for Milwaukee, which continued its free fall with a fifth straight loss. Biggio walked and Lance Berkman singled to start the eighth. Huff singled to left, and the relay throw to the plate was late, as Biggio slid in safely for a 4-3 Houston lead. Scott was hit by a pitch and Dan Kolb then surrendered an Adam Everett RBI single. Brad Ausmus walked with the bases loaded before Lane crushed a 3-0 offering over the wall in left for his first career grand slam. Scott homered in the second inning and Biggio belted his 17th in the sixth for a 3-0 lead. Bill Hall and Gabe Gross had back-to-back doubles to start the Milwaukee seventh. Gross though strained his left hamstring and left the game. Hart followed with another RBI double, moved to third on a groundout and scored on Mike Rivera's sacrifice fly to tie the game. Ohka allowed five hits and three runs over 6 2/3 innings. Game Notes This was the first pinch-hit grand slam for Houston since Gregg Zaun hit one versus Arizona on June 27, 2002.
