There are more than 8,000 people in Texas awaiting life-saving organ transplants and countless more who need life-enhancing tissue transplants. Nationally, nearly 100,000 await the gift of life.

While telling your family is still an important part of choosing to be an organ donor, the only way to officially and legally register your wishes to donate is to do so at your Texas Department of Public Safety Office or to go online to www.donatelifetexas.org or www.donevidatexas.org. By registering you are giving your family the peace of mind of not having to make this decision on your behalf.
