EL PASO, Texas —
The snowstorm that blew through El Paso on Friday caused El Paso police to respond to 55 traffic collisions in a five-hour period.
A woman lost control of her pickup truck outside of a Westside Barnes & Noble. She drove through a metal railing and into a 5-foot gap between the wall and a building. Police said that she's going to be OK. The accident broke windows in the Barnes & Noble.
KFOX14 News crews also spotted a one-car accident on Sunland Park Drive in West El Paso.
The roads were barely visible in Northeast El Paso. In fact, it didn’t look much like El Paso for a couple of hours. It looked like a brutal day in Denver.
KFOX14 crews watched as cars spun out all over the roads.
In Anthony, New Mexico, the major roadways were covered with snow. Some drivers parked and abandoned their cars on the side of the roads.
