Woman Spends Thanksgiving In Jail After Drunk Driving Arrest

One woman got to spend Thanksgiving in police custody after a late-night car accident in East El Paso. Police say the woman was behind the wheel of a Pontiac minivan when it slammed head-on into a light pole. It happened around 11:00 p.m. Wednesday night at the intersection of Lee Trevino Drive and Montwood Drive. The woman was the only person in the car. She was not injured, but after a field sobriety test, police determined the woman was intoxicated and arrested her. She is charged with driving under the influence.
