EL PASO, Texas —

A woman said she's lucky she wasn't hurt after a speeding car landed near her front yard just before 7 a.m. Thursday.

Yolanda Blanco told KFOX14 she was watering her trees when she heard a loud crash and found car in front of her yard.

Police said 19-year-old Gabriel Peral was speeding on the westbound lane of Hercules Avenue and Mt. Everest Drive when he lost control, crashing into a fence and rolling four times next to her yard.

Neighbors said racing has been a common problem down this stretch of road and they constantly call police to report the problem.

Only the driver was hurt in the accident and he was sent to the hospital with minor injuries.

Police haven't said if they will cite the driver but are looking into it.
