EL PASO, Texas —

El Paso police are looking for a couple involved in a violent carjacking that happened at 10:55 p.m. Thursday on Piedras Street and Yandell Drive. The victim walked into police headquarters shortly after the incident and was taken to Thomason Hospital with scratches and bruises.

The victim told police a man with a gun approached her while she was waiting at a red light and pulled her out of the gray Nissan Titan pickup truck she was driving.

The victim alleges the gunman pistol-whipped her and took off in the truck. He is described as a tall and thin Hispanic man in his 20s. The victim said he was accompanied by a medium-build Hispanic woman with shoulder-length hair. Both may have been carrying guns.
