What Is April Pools Day?

All El Pasoans are encouraged to attend an April Pools Day event April 17, 2010 at over 20 different pools in the area, free of charge that is geared to focus individuals throughout the area to remember to RESPECT THE WATER.

In 2009 El Paso area experienced 9 drownings (5 in backyard pools, 1 in bathtub, 1 in private pool, 1 on field trip outing and 1 in pool of rainwater). Please support this lifesaving cause by notifying family and friends of this event. Area locations will be providing Goody Bags to families that attend: 1. Drowning Prevention Coalition Brochure 2.
