EL PASO, Texas —

El Paso FBI agents made an arrest of the suspect in Tuesday's bank robbery.

FBI agents at first were looking for a man who they said robbed a Wells Fargo Bank branch in Northeast El Paso. It turns out the suspect was a woman. Maria Del Carmen Castaneda, 41, was arrested Thursday.

An anonymous tip led FBI agents to Castaneda's arrest, said officials.

Authorities said Castaneda, who is unemployed, walked into the bank wearing sunglasses, a black hat and latex gloves.

Investigators said she handed the teller a note, then drove away with an undisclosed amount of money.

She is being held at the El Paso County Jail and faces one count of bank robbery.
