EL PASO, Texas —
They spotted him in the canal near the Cesar Chavez Highway and Fonseca Drive.
They tried pulling him out for an hour, that's when they said the currents swept him away.
According to fire crews, they searched for the man but couldn't find him.
They think he may have gotten out and returned to Mexico.
