Vigil held at El Paso High School football stadium for Mauro Galarza

EL PASO, Texas —
A 19-year-old who died in a crash will be remembered on the football field he played on last year.
Mauro Galarza was killed early Sunday morning when the car he was driving crashed into a road divider and a pickup truck on Railroad and Diana drives.
A candlelight vigil is scheduled for Thursday at 7:30 p.m. on the steps of the stadium at El Paso High School.
He was a graduate of El Paso High School. Galarza was studying engineering at The University of Texas at El Paso.
A funeral service will take place from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m. Friday with a rosary at 7 p.m. at Mount Carmel Funeral Home, 1755 N. Zaragoza.
