LAS CRUCES, N.M. —

The U.S. Marshals Service for the district of New Mexico said it just added a criminal to its New Mexico most wanted list.

The marshals are now looking for Jesse Sosa who they believe is very dangerous. Sosa is currently on charges of armed robbery, felon in possession of firearm, and aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.

Deputies said Sosa is also a known gang member and continues to network his criminal enterprise throughout southern New Mexico with other gang members.

After learning of a sentence of 20 years Sosa walked out of the courtroom. Deputies said Sosa was also previously sentenced to 16 1/2 for a manslaughter conviction for shooting a 17 year old male.

Marshals believe Sosa is armed and dangerous and advised members of the public not to approach him if they see him. Instead, contact the marshals at 575-527-6850.
