Update: SWAT Responds To East El Paso Neighborhood

EL PASO, Texas —

The El Paso Police Department told KFOX members of the SWAT team were in east El Paso around 6 a.m. Thursday because a man did not come out when police were trying serve a warrant.

Police arrested three individuals in the 1800 block of Paseo Real when they were trying to serve a warrant.

Investigators were trying to arrest 18-year-old Esteban Ordaz, who was wanted for aggravated assault with deadly weapon.

Ordaz jumped out a window. He was taken to Sierra Medical Center east, where he was treated for a laceration to his arm he sustained when jumping through the window.

Ordaz was booked into the El Paso County Jail after being released from the hospital and charged with an outstanding warrant and failure to identify.

A 20-year-old man and 18-year-old man who were inside the home were arrested on outstanding municipal warrants.
