Related

A local man was taken to an area hospital with serious injuries after being attacked outside a west El Paso apartment complex.

The incident happened just after midnight Wednesday on the 5200 block of Carousel Drive and Festival Drive.

When police officers arrived at the scene they found 27-year-old Alejandro Saenz, laying in the parking lot slashed across the chest, said police.

El Paso police officers said Saenz had told them he had been “jumped” by several people. They also said Saenz refused to elaborate on any further information as to what happened.

Police said they have not determined if this incident is gang-related.

Saenz was taken to University Medical Center for his injuries.
