Two school district employees arrested on cocaine charges

EL PASO, Texas —

An elementary school counselor and assistant coach were arrested on suspicion of possessing cocaine, according to our media partners at the El Paso Times.

Fifty-nine-year-old Raul Gomez and 43-year-old Joe Paul Solis were arrested by El Paso County sheriff's deputies on Thursday.

Gomez is an assistant girls basketball coach at Del Valle High School in the Ysleta Independent School District. Solis is a counselor at Frank Macias Elementary School in the Clint Independent School District.

It's unknown if either employee will be suspended without pay.
