Two Las Cruces firefighters are without a job after allegedly impersonating a police officer.
NMSU officials say they have fired two of their student firefighters after learning about an incident earlier this month when the two men posed as campus police, followed a couple and claimed to be police officers as part of a prank.
Two other firefighters were also involved in the incident. Their punishment is unknown.
